QUIET READING TIME
Do you miss quiet reading time? Or can’t accomplish your reading due to distraction or noise? Want to meet other booklovers with similar interests like yourself?
Come and join our monthly Quiet Reading Time in a community setting at The Hatchery Space, a place conducive for quiet musings, creative works, deep thoughts and community conversations.
Except, for Quiet Reading Time, we can exclude conversations, put down our digital devices, and just read!
You’ll get to:
Have minimum 2 hours of quiet reading/study time (no talking, only whispering allowed)
Cozy up to a cat who loves human
Book a reading spot in the cool indoors or sunny outdoors (surrounded by plants)
Sip a cup of free coffee/tea/Milo while you read
Get to know other booklovers through simple and fun games
Discover new reading material from The Hatchery Place bookshelves
Rent a book of your choice from Revitalize Books, a book rental library
[OPTIONAL] In the last hour, we will serve light refreshments and facilitate a short get-to-know-you session with other readers. If you’re not keen on mingling or socialising, feel free to sit out of this session.
Date: Sunday (6 March, 8 May, 3 July, 4 September, 6 November)
Time: 2.30pm - 5.30pm (light refreshments and conversations served from 4.30pm onwards)
Venue: The Hatchery Place
Fee: RM20 per person
Maximum No of Attendees: 8 pax

Revitalize Books is an online book rental and community library with over 400 popular titles of various genres, ranging from fiction to non-fiction. Rent a book for just RM7 per book for 3 months (with rental deposit for each book). We also feature book reviews on our page. During the Pop-up event happening monthly at The Hatchery Place @ USJ 11, we will bring a small selection of our book titles for your browsing, with special promotions available on-site.
