What are we building?
At The Hatchery Place, we have a mission to make the space a sanctuary for the tired creative souls, where your spirit shall be resurrected and re-energized upon resting and living with us. When conscious creatives co-live & co-create together in a supported space, great visions have a platform to be birthed, nurtured & brought forth.
Design Your Own Creative Retreat Here
Come and spend some self-directed getaway time and let yourself be inspired by participating in our curated creative activities for you.
If you are a creative soul at heart, an aspiring artist searching for a place to hatch your creations, let us be your nursery. At The Hatchery Place, you can dream, incubate, hatch and break free your creative ideas with the support of the community and space.
What Some Have To Say..
This is our second time back at THP. We are true Hatcherians, as I actually started my online endeavors here at THP. It was the perfect environment, as it’s a bit out of the city in beautiful Subang Jaya, (close enough to the metro to get anywhere but with less distractions), it has great food options (Taipan is a vegetarians dream), and fast reliable wifi. As someone who needs to work on Skype a lot, Elaine allowed me the privacy of her art studio, but working in the Writers room would be perfect too as it has aircon. What can be said about the community? We’ve loved it, I expect that it will be different for each person as people move on, but a few Hatcherians have actually opted to make KL their permanent residence and they’re amazing! Activities? Kevin and Elaine know how to strike the perfect balance between work and play, whether it’s a music jam, art session, durian nights (the best people to have had our first experience with!), or excursion to a great restaurant, or remote location. We’ve had more than enough time for building our dreams and Exploring Malaysian culture. We love THP, its community and the special something that this amazing couple has been able to create. We would recommend it to anyone!
The Hatchery Place is just a lot more than an airbnb or a place to stay/work. It’s the vision and passion of two local entrepreneurs that has shaped into, amongst others, a community of like-minded people and a space to pursue projects. At the moment of this writing I’ve been living here for 4 months and I’ve become really good friends with many community members. As a solo traveler/digital nomad, this place has provided me with the community I was hoping to find. I was prepared to stay only for a couple weeks if I didn’t like it but turns out I did like it (I am planning to stay 2-4 more months).
We were lucky to arrive in KL on the same exact day they were having one of their open nights. We really liked being part of their event, having contributed some thoughts to the spiritual richness of this place. We got new friendships and the tasty vegan food prepared by Megan & Ben, their volunteers from France.
If you are in Kuala Lumpur, you should visit The Hatchery Place and release those inner thoughts you kept in for too long and add your personal touch to the creative world they have built here so this little piece of heaven can live on!
Thinking back to our amazing time that we had with you guys! Borneo is wonderful, but you guys made Malaysia unforgettable for us! We learned a lot about Malaysia and its people, the culture, the traditions, what we would have never experienced without you!
Thanks for the great support, for the motivation, the inspiration, the wonderful ideas, the amazing memories and funny evenings! And especially for the critics, feedback and how much we developed with your help! The three weeks which we have spent there rushed by! We’ll come back for sure!
Love this place! It feels like a home and the family members are cool and supportive. Highly recommended! You can either stay here or come by to work/relax/study. They also host a ton of events.
Coming to the Hatchery Place feels just like walking into a friend’s home!
Now you see why it’s important that spaces like the Hatchery Place exist? They are a Godsend to people like me, who usually are mobile/don’t have a place to work.
Spaces help inspire, cultivate and motivate productivity, and I think that the Hatchery does a fantastic job in maintaining this.
We Are On A Mission
Travelers, writers, bloggers, digital-nomads, crafters, makers, musicians, artists, artisans, illustrators, designers, cartoonists,
