The Hatchery Place is a cozy in-home coworking + coliving + colearning space with an unpretentious personal style that welcomes all conscious creative nomads.

We are nestled among rows of middle-class residential terrace houses in the suburb USJ11 Subang Jaya, with little Ginger, our adorable cat roaming freely inside the house. Kevin & Elaine are both corporate quitters and growth-oriented creative souls who started The Hatchery Place in February 2016, at first to escape the cubicle world to build their passion careers. Now, the house has evolved into an inspiring little community where location-independent creative souls share and exchange their skills, cultures, and experiences with each other.

With the amazing help of volunteers, The Hatchery Place has become not just a working space. It is now a platform that meets the requirements of traveling creative nomads and art makers and expands their opportunities. In a mixture of relaxed suburb home living atmosphere and concentrated working environment, we create room between work and privacy in which innovation and creativity of travelers can foster, as they cowork together with the local neighborhood creativepreneurs here.

During the day, the space is a shared creative coworking space and at night, turns into a shared coliving space. A cozy, fun, homey, and creative workspace and heart-centered friendship incubator for our travelers, writers, bloggers, vloggers, nomads, crafters, creators, makers, musicians, artists, artisans, designers, poets, philosophers, meditators, educators, yogis, vegans, tree-huggers, lightworkers, truthseekers, freedom-lovers and anyone else interested in stretching the boundaries of themselves to include trusting strangers. On the weekends, workshops and events are run to cultivate a creative co-learning lifestyle in the community.

Kevin & Elaine are very hands-on hosts who integrate themselves closely with the coliving community. We are in the house very regularly to tend to the coworkers, the community, the cat and garden, and plan events. We host small art & craft events, workshops, meetups, healing circles, food and drink tastings, talks, poetry nights, and more here. Coliving members can also host related events here, or participate in our events at a discounted price.
